I am sure most of you are familiar with one of the newest disturbing news concerning the person that went and killed his neighbour and then killed his children.

After reading the story from a local newspaper on the net. It just disturbed me a lot that i tried to understand what drove him to do that act. I put the following suggestions and motives as possibilities:

1- He was mentally ill: he might have been suffering from a mental illness. If that was the case, a couple of questions pop to my mind: why didn't anyone of his family members admit him to a specialized hospital? how could anyone with such a condition be left with kids alone in the house?


2- He got into a psychological state where he lost all his sanity: well if that was the case, what drove him to this crazy state? is it because of family problems? life stress? if any of those questions were the cause then everyone in jordan should take care of themselves because we will be seeing a lot more of these acts and news. Life isn't getting easier.

3- i tried sympathizing with his philosophy that after he killed the neighbour for any reason it was , that he didn't want his children put into foster homes as it seems no one could look after them. But even with his logic, i couldn't sympathize. Nothing could justify taking another person's life whatever the reasons. It isn't in our will to take or give life becoz when a person has that ability\choice and right then it would be chaos.

I couldn't come up with other possibilities, whichever the reasons. I can't see things getting better. Life has got a lot more expensive. What was a necessity of life has become in a way or another something one of the additional pleasures of life. When a person tries to understand how an average citizen could with his average 200JD salary could live when he has a family to feed and take to school, it just blows me a away. Beggers and needy people are getting larger and larger in numbers as time passes by. In light of all that i think we will be hearing more of the same or similar news as the one i mentioned above. Suppose you had family (Wife and a child), if you couldn't provide their daily peace of bread,what would you do?
